Qualified Social Worker

We are currently seeking a qualified Social Worker with a minimum of 1 years experience to join YOT Team in the East London area.

Responsibilities:
1 Reduce young offenders’ risk of offending and promote the five Every Child Matters outcomes by securing their voluntary engagement in a programme of support completing their statutory supervision plan;
2 To work in partnership with the young person, their parents, professionals in the YOT and partner agencies and volunteers to help achieve the objectives of the young person’s voluntary engagement plan.

3 To assist colleagues in the delivery of the Team’s wider objectives, including being a member of the YOT back-up duty rota.
4 To build effective relationships with partners and work across organisational boundaries

5 To represent the YOT at multi-agency panels where required.
6 To understand and actively promote the Council's Customer Service Policy, ensuring the needs of our customers are considered at all times to enable the Council to meet its customer satisfaction targets.

7 To be committed to the welfare of children and young people and to identify address risks presented by young people to themselves and others.

8 The above mentioned duties are neither exclusive nor exhaustive and the post holder may be required to carry out other duties as required by the service.

Pay rate is between £19 and £23 per hour.

GSCC Registration is essential.
